Born out of the 2000s indie rock boom, Me Like Bees is a Joplin, Missouri–based band known for punchy, guitar-driven songs with a sharp melodic edge. Formed in 2009 by Pete Burton and Luke Sheafer, the group bonded over a shared love of bands like The Strokes, Modest Mouse, and The White Stripes, shaping a sound that’s both gritty and danceable.
After early momentum with their debut album The Ides (2013), Me Like Bees broke through nationally by winning the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands in 2014, earning a spot on the Vans Warped Tour. The band later teamed up with producer John Feldmann (Goldfinger) for their 2016 EP There Will Be Time, and continued to expand their creative scope with the comic-inspired Songs From The Realm.
With a lineup rounded out by Jake Bennett on bass and Ben Davis on drums, Me Like Bees continues to deliver high-energy indie rock rooted in passion, persistence, and a love for the craft.
